We are a small, independent, British company who care about where our food comes and how it is made.
Our 100% beef burgers are purebred not thoroughbred! Our beef comes from 5 local Essex farms, three of the farms are owned and run by our mate Stuart Pulford. One local company, Direct Meats of Colchester, Essex, buys whole animals, direct from these farms and delivers fresh minced beef to us daily. www.directmeats.co.uk
All our meat carries the Quality Standard mark. The English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) award the Quality Standard Mark to all beef produced and processed through their fully assured and independently audited supply chain.
The Quality Standard is a more rigorous audit that Red Tractor, and ensures that animals are well cared for from the moment they are born and inspects and records all the stages of the animal through the entire supply chain, from farm all the way to your fork.
In fact, everything on our menu is fresh, locally sourced and completely free from additives, preservatives, colourings and GM nasties. Our milkshakes are made to order from the highest quality natural ingredients and the tempura batter for our home made onion rings is made fresh, daily on the premises.
Our bread rolls are baked just for us to our own special recipe. Our tea, coffee and hot chocolate is fair trade.

All our beef comes from a range of traditionally reared, grass fed, fully traceable breeds from Aberdeen Angus to Hereford. They roam free eating grass on the lush pastures for most of the year, maturing slowly, naturally developing a greater depth of flavour.
We often visit the small farms in East Anglia where our herds are raised to make sure they are well treated which includes keeping transportation to an absolute minimum for their sake and ours.
It's not all about the meat. Vegetarians like to eat proper fast food too. Our veggie burgers are made to our very own tried, tested and loved recipes.
So why do we bother? Well, you don't get the best in life from cutting corners and doing things on the cheap. It's the same with burgers. The better the stuff you put in, the better the stuff you get out. Yes, it's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it!
Our staff are a bit like our food, hand picked and carefully nurtured to make sure they are the very best they can be.
They prepare all the food fresh, daily on the premises. A pinch of salt and pepper is all the beef needs before being shaped into burgers and char-grilled to order.
Throughout the year you will see us at sporting and music events. We believe in bringing fine burgers to the masses through any means possible, but where ever you encounter us you will always find fresh quality food, served fast.
